$199 +GST Learn all the fundemantals of Moving Water Canoeing. Course
Our flagship course. Students will be introduced to moving water fundementals.
In this 2 ½ day course you will learn canoe strokes, equipment, front & back ferries, eddy turns,
reading the river and canoe safety. Course runs Thurs evening on Flatwater 6-10pm.
All day Saturday and Sunday on the Takhini River. All equipment is provided with the exception of footwear.

$199+GST We build on Intro Moving Water in more challenging water.
If you want to learn to paddle whitewater this is the course for you. We review the fundamentals
from Intro to Moving Water and build on them. You will gain control and confidence in your canoeing
skills and prepare yourself for you summer canoe journey.
Course runs Thursday evening 6-10pm on Flatwater, All day Saturday on the Takhini River and Sunday
on the Wheaton River.

Yukon’s Premier Whitewater Canoe Course. Your skills and confidence will soar. Catch every eddy and surf
every wave. The Lapie River is the best river in the Yukon for learning whitewater. We have many options of runs choose on the Lapie, Ross and Ketza Rivers as well as local lakes. Each course is tailored to the class to insure optimal learning. We have been using this location for 15 years and know it very well. We have many repeat customers for this course and it’s more of an experience than a course.
Course runs over 4 days based out of the Ross River area. We provide all canoe equipment, local transport, video analysis and instruction. Not included: camping fees, food or transportation to the Lapie.
Dates: June 25-28; July 2-5; July 9-12; July 16-19

Certified from Royal Lifesaving Society, recognized by Transport Canada and the rafting industry in Alberta. Course is run over two- 8 hour modules: Hydrology, Rescue Equipment, Swimming, Wading, z-drags and rescues. The course is ideal for those wanting river rescue knowledge, perfect for canoists, fisherman, boaters, kayakers or anyone who is around rivers, creeks or streams.
To receive the certification from Royal Life Saving Society students must present current CPR/standard
First Aid certification.
Course fee includes equipment, certification fees and textbook.
